On October 14, 2019, CNews broadcast the first issue of “Face à l’Info”. Every evening, Eric Zemmour debates with a different opponent, under the watchful eye of presenter Christine Kelly. In one year, the meeting was noticed for the extremist outings of the columnist, and propelled the ex-iTélé to the first place of the news channels at 7 p.m.
Revealed in the program “We are not lying” in 2006, the former political journalist has since broadcast his opinions more and more affirmed in the media, especially against Islam and immigration. On September 25, he was sentenced for provocation to racial hatred by the Paris court. A few days later, his remarks on unaccompanied minors in France sparked new controversy.
