Huawei invests the connected watch market with its Watch Fit at 120 euros, competing with the Apple Watch

Everything Huawei touches turns to gold, or almost. Now the world number 1 in smartphones, Chinese continues to surprise and break records. Most recently, the firm has joined the pantheon of the world’s richest and most valued companies. However, today’s news about Huawei is the Watch Fit, its brand new smartwatch competing with the Apple Watch just unveiled. We know more about it, and especially its price, small and as sweet as chocolate.

Not just another smartwatch

The smartwatch market has never really taken off. And we can even say that it is currently only worn by the Apple Watch which Apple fans love. Logical, as the Apple smartwatch is complementary to Apple’s ecosystem.

However, other references exist. Especially at Samsung, Motorola, but also Asus, LG and even Oppo. Without of course forgetting Huawei. The only downside is that watches connected to Android are not very popular. Particularly because of their technical and even software limitations. Android Wear is far from being able to match or even compete with watchOS.

Hence the idea of Huawei to develop a proprietary OS based on a free version of Android, for its Watch Fit.

Huawei Watch Fit, what beautiful to offer?

Already, know that this connected watch will be charged only 120 dollars. A price that is two to three times lower than that requested by Apple for its Watch.

Under the magnesium chassis of the Huawei Watch Fit, there is a small 1.64-inch AMOLED screen with a definition of 456 x 280 pixels. However, it is on the sensors side that the machine is supplied. In particular with an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a GPS and a barometer.

Among the new functions Huawei announces walking tracking + sleep study. The big originality being the possibility of the oxygen saturation of the blood (SpO2) of its carrier.

The watch case is also waterproof to a depth of 50 meters and the watch has a 180mAh battery. Don’t panic, it can be used with both Android smartphones and iPhones.
