Since 2017, a canvas version of a stylized Marianne made by the artist in the aftermath of the 2015 terrorist attacks sits in the office of Emmanuel Macron. The French had notably discovered the work during a presidential interview and during the wishes of December 31, 2017. And now, for a few months, another work of the street artist adorns the office of Anne Hidalgo at the Town Hall.
If the mayor made this choice, it is obviously out of a taste for Obey’s work.
