It looks like the beginning of renunciation. Lawyers for the Trump campaign have dropped a lawsuit seeking a review of all ballots cast on election day after finding that the victory margin for Arizona’s presidential race could not be caught by the clan of the outgoing president CNN reports this Friday.
The Trump campaign had filed the complaint last Saturday, alleging that some voters were confused on election day, Nov. 3, and feared their ballots would not be counted if the vote-tallying machines classified their ballots as excess votes. Trump’s lawyers were calling for a manual review of all ballots marked by the counting machine as excess votes, alleging it could result in thousands of additional votes for President Donald Trump.
11,000 votes ahead for Biden
For the record Joe Biden was declared the winner of this state by several American media on Friday, with 11,000 votes apart (0.3% difference) over Donald Trump. Counties in the state must certify their results between November 9 and 23, and the electoral code provides for general certification of results on the fourth Monday after the ballot, on November 30.
Increasingly galvanized by the expectation of still missing final results, Trumpists and his most fervent supporters are however calling for rallies on Saturday in Washington and in major cities, while continuing the same strategy of denial.
