In shock after our revelations of sexual assault and physical and moral violence in judo as she had told us, Roxana Maracineanu obviously did not stop there. The Minister for Sports on Tuesday organized an emergency meeting with Jean-Luc Rougé, president of the French Sports Federation concerned, and its national technical director, Jean-Claude Senaud.
It was a question of “taking stock of the reports known by the Federation and those handled by the sports management unit, questioning the Federation on the cases recently revealed in the press, knowing the information that would have already been reported to it and the procedures that it had or had not initiated (disciplinary and / or civil action) ”, according to the ministry.
The Minister also wished “to know precisely the mechanisms set up by the federation for the collection of the victims’ words, their support and the setting aside of the aggressors”, while asking “that a reflection be initiated by the Federation around the psychological care of victims. “
The Federation was also questioned on “the state of progress of its own plan to prevent violence and the instructions given to state executives as well as club leaders, in particular with regard to the obligation to report incumbent to state agents. »And sensitized on« respect for individuals and the teaching conditions of judo and associated disciplines », as well as on other points concerning technical staff.
Finally, Roxana Maracineanu told Jean-Luc Rougé “that she reserves the right to initiate a mission from the IGESR (General Inspectorate for Education, Sport and Research) on the conditions for managing the affairs of violence by the FFJDA. “
