Opening the 14th day allowed PSG to put a little pressure on OL. A successful mission for the Parisian players who won this Friday night in Fleury (5-0). While waiting for the meeting of the Lyonnaises, who host Montpellier this Saturday afternoon, PSG takes four points ahead of the championship after a successful performance against the Essonniennes.
Not easy, however, to face the same opponent twice in less than a week. Last Saturday, with a team somewhat reshaped by Olivier Echouafni, PSG won 2-0 on the same lawn in Fleury. With the typical team, the Parisiennes this time experienced a quieter encounter, thanks to a controlled second period, with rhythm and technique. In ten minutes, the score went from 1 to 4-0.
“The opponents are well organized,” recalls Echouafni. Fleury, it’s a derby. We felt it in the intensity, the aggressiveness. We were a bit below at that level. We should have scored more in the first half. But we rectified things at the break and it was much better. The state of the ground did not always allow good raises. But we don’t take a goal, we score five. Everything is perfect “.
First thanks to Marie-Antoinette Katoto, for her 16th goal of the season at close range on a nice cross from Perle Morroni (60th). The top scorer of PSG then stumbles on the keeper of Fleury but Sandy Baltimore emerges to afford a double (61st). The left-hander formed at the club opened the scoring in the first period (24th) taking advantage of a disagreement in the Essonnian defense.
Once the score was acquired, everything became easier for PSG. Katoto, again, gets a penalty (69th) transformed by Kadidiatou Diani (70th) for his 10th goal of the season. Fleury could never hope to come back, even if, in the first period, a concentration error by captain Irene Paredes (35th) or a poorly controlled exit by Christiane Endler (19th) could have offered a gag goal. The Spaniard makes up for it in additional time with a superb sequence after a poorly cleared corner for the 5-0 (90th + 4).
